Holiday's Are Here!

And it's time to get crazy busy! I've got my shopping all done (thank you Amazon.com!!!) and all that's left to di is wrap everything and cook what I'm supposed to bring to each party. I'm making a S'mores Trifle, buiscuts, and Cottontail Carrots for each of the family get togethers. I'm going to try to sqeeze in a batch of peppermint bark, but we'll see if that pans out. 

Phoebe had her final day at Tutor Time on Friday. The ladies were all doting over her as usual. No one really said anything about the batch of cookies I made for them thuogh... I don't know why... oh well, maybe they don't like break and bake cookies. lol 

Phoebe will start at ChildTime after the new year, but until then, daddy gets to watch her while I work. yay! 

Friday Night

So it's Friday night. It's been a loooong week. Brian's out at a brewer's meetup group, Phoebe's in bed asleep, and I'm tired as hell but enjoying time alone. I don't know about any other new moms out there, but I NEVER get any alone time anymore. If I'm home, so is Phoebe. Brian & I never do much away from home anymore. But we did join a meetup.com group for local couples & parents. Our first meetup with them is next weekend at a comedy club and then dancing! I'm SO looking forward to it! I need friends with kids.

We haven't seen any of our friends in probably two months now and that was only to help move when other friends decided not to come. I'm not sure if it's because we have a baby or if there is another reason that no one's asked us to get together. It's disapointing really. We both miss all of them, but everyone's off in their own world. I'm sure the others have gotten together many times since some of them are related. I think I feel pushed aside. Well, I wish them the best even if they don't want to be around us anymore.

I think I may have to cave and go to bed. My eyes are actually starting to hurt since I'm up past my "bedtime". lol It's sad that I go to bed so early now.

Update

Phoebe West was born July 30th, 2008 in Warren, MI. She weighed in at a respectable 8lbs, 9oz. She had a full head of reddish hair and is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. 

She is now 3 months old, smiling, laughing, sitting up, rolling over, and being a cute baby. lol I think she may skip crawling because she hates tummy time and constantly wants to be held upright so her feet touch the ground like she's standing. Tomorrow we pick up an exersaucer that I found on craigslist for less than half price. yay! I know Phoebe will love it. 

Phoebe goes to daycare during the week while I work. She LOVES Tutor Time. She seems to have a blast there and already has a cute little friend named Emma. They like to hang out together in their bouncer/rockers. 

Well, I'm not sure where I'm going to go with this blog, but who knows, maybe I'll start posting more often and make it fun. Heck, maybe someday someone else will actually read this! LOL
